FirmNet
The Firmnet software has been developed by a research group headed by Tamás Vicsek.
Firmnet is a complex network-analysis software, which can be used to examine the latest network research models. In addition to complex network visualisation, it is also capable of calculating various social network indexes (closeness, betweeness, reach, in/out degree, etc.).
The C-finder software, that can be used to identify the group-structures of a network, is also part of the Firmnet programme package, and has also been developed by the same group of researchers. This application has already proved its efficiency when analyzing a European mobile company?s multi-million client network. The theoretical and methodological approach of the C-finder software (clique percolation method) was introduced in one of the most famous international natural-scientific journals, Nature, in June 2005.
The programme is capable to visually display networks of various shapes and sizes, and to examine the statistics of information flow within the network.
